Necklace from the authorial jewellery collection, designed by fashion designer - Joanna Misztela, in cooperation with masters of Polish handicraft.
The necklace consists of two flowers of rose fixed in a metallic socket and hung on a leather. The leather can be adjusted, so that the length of the necklace can fit any individual preferences. The necklace surrounds a neck. Elaborate crepe flower craft, modern look of the flowers and elegant, metallic finishing give the result of a fashionable and elegant adornment.
The flowers are made from Italian crepe characterized by extraordinary durability. One should however avoid contact with water or any liquid, so that the flowers are not discolored. The jewellery has been tasted in wearing, properly used will be a durable adornment.
Crepe flower handicraft is connected with home decorations. This sort of decorations used to be prepared in the occasion of Christmas. Long and freezing winter evenings favored meetings of housewive, who thanks to crepe flowers wanted to fill again their houses with colors.
This is the nature, which gave the biggest inspiration for “florists” – this is how women practicing crepe flower handicraft used to call themselves . Therefore ornaments created by them usually depicted flowers existing in nature: poppies, cornflowers, forget –me –nots, etc.

Mrs. Jadwiga – started practicing crepe handicraft, when she used to work in a kindergarten and was looking for some material to work on with children and to create kindergarten decorations. For the first she presented her compositions in The Angel Fair in Nowy Sącz (South-East of Poland).
Mrs. Jadwiga creates poppies, sun flowers and branches of magnolia, as well as flowers she invents herself. This way she manages to create extremely beautiful plants, which the artist herself calls “authorial branches”. They are characterized by rich and tasteful colouring.
Mrs. Maria has revealed manual talents since childhood. She has been practicing crepe handicraft since she remembers. She learnt the fundaments of this craft thanks to some old lady from Krakow, who presented to her basic forms. Most of technique, however she had to learn by herself. She makes flowers every free time she has, even by nights. The ideas come from nature.
